The Company

Following the footprints of a tiger and named after it, Pugmarks, India’s largest web solutions company is on its way to making lasting impressions. Originally a visual communication and design company, it took up net technology as the obvious course of expansion and adopted its skills in the field of website designing. Pugmarks’ long-standing objective is to make the Internet a reliable and effective device for its clients’ business.

Pugmark specializes in website development, e-mail solutions, hosting, co-located servers, e-commerce solutions, programming and database integration & management. It offers services from strategy, creative and implementation to total technical support. Spread globally, Pugmarks has a nation wide network in 12 locations in India and offices in USA, UK and the Middle East.

The People

The Management comprises of :

Mr Atul Gupta – the Managing Director of the Company handles the day to day operations.

Ms. Anuja Gupta looks after the creative and production aspects of the web sites.

Dr Mishra looks after technical operations and Pugmarks Inc.

Mr Suri handles the finance function in the Company.

Mr Atul Gupta graduated from Government College of Arts, Chandigarh in 1990 with a specialization in Commercial Arts & Visual Communications (a 5-year Degree Course). Mr. Gupta is the chief strategic planner and directs the operations of the Company. His deep understanding of Internet technologies coupled with his background in design and his ability to assess a client’s needs have helped him in securing several key contracts. His marketing abilities are evident from the number of unconventional deals he has struck with the Company’s clients. He has also been very successful in identifying and anticipating technological and market trends and in reworking the Company’s strategy to take advantage of these trends.

Ms. Anuja Gupta graduated from Government College of Arts, Chandigarh in 1990 with a specialization in Commercial Arts & Visual Communications (a 5-year Degree Course). She topped the University breaking a 12-year record. She heads the company’s design operations & is in-charge of conceptualizing, designing and subsequently implementing the content for clients’ web sites. She utilizes her skills and education in designing to manage design teams and assigns and co-ordinates various projects to them.

Mr KS Suri is an entrepreneur, having successfully set-up and managed several businesses. He is the finance director of the Company.

Dr Pravin Mishra completed his MSc from Indore University and subsequently his PhD from The All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He has more than 15 years of research experience and more than 8 years of hands-on experience in handling Internet WAN, LAN, E-Mail, TCP/IP implementation and administration for the University of Illinois as a result of which he has an in-depth knowledge of Internet related technologies. Dr Mishra utilises his technical skills to manage the Company’s servers in the US. In addition, he is looking after the marketing initiatives for the US operations.

India Today Group, Encyclopaedia Britannica, The Times Group, Hero Cycles, Malayala Manorama, The Week, The Tribune, Vardhman Group, Canon, Business Standard, Bank of Punjab, Communication World, Ministry of Defense (DRDO), JK Tourism, ICRA, TV 18, and Hyderabad Hi-Tech City.

Besides this, Pugmarks has experience of developing hundreds of websites. These include sites on brand image, news, product information and e-commerce. Its expertise lies in producing customized websites for publications. Hosting about 30 publications from India, Pugmarks gets over 1000 GB of dataflow on its network every month translating to about 200 million hits on its network per month believed to be the largest for Indian content.

Pugmarks has also brought many firsts in the Internet business in India. It was the first company in the Indian subcontinent to successfully carry out a live event Webcast assignment. It webcasted the inauguration of the Hi-tech City Hyderabad by the Prime Minister, Sh. Atal Behari Vajpayee. It is the first company in India to launch a newspaper in regional language true type fonts. Also, it brought the first Real Audio solution for the Indian customers.

Pugmarks is fully equipped to set up an e-commerce enabled website for national and international credit cards.
