2 oranges

3/8 to 1/2 cup sugar

2 lb. mixed prepared fresh fruit

Put the water with thin strips of the orange and lemon rind into a saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add the sugar, stir until dissolved, then add the orange and lemon juice. Strain over the fruit and allow to become cold.
