Venturing into the European and US markets for strategic investments,
Pugmarks has acquired a 50% equity participation in E-Receipts
Inc. The US-based firm has a revolutionary, simple and robust
concept to facilitate online transactions completely for industry
segments like travel, hotels, etc. |

Further in investments, Pugmarks now holds 5 million shares,
amounting to 9% of total equity in Canada-based ReserveMeal.com
Inc. The firm has a portal that facilitates features like online
table booking, menu browsing and ordering etc. for restaurants
that are registered as part of the site's network map.
The
recently opened Calcutta branch office has bagged the much vied-for
Duncans Tea account. A good job for starts!

at the Cyber Fest |
Four days of Net fever that's what happened at Chandigarh and
its surrounding areas when we held the ‘Cyber Fest’
in the mid of March. The drive was held in association with the
city's cyber cafes and aimed at promoting the Internet amongst
common people. This first-time offer saw the residents of the
city in a bustle to book themselves a slot at the cafes for some
free time on the Net. |

It's a swank new six-storey building with 30,000 sq ft floor

The real action last month was on the hosting front. Scrapping
an earlier scheme, we came up with the Free Host offer. With
lots of technical goodies thrown in, the offer is not another
run-of-the-mill type and has elicited a fantastic response.
Since then we've been hot news.
The furore is understandable since the offer comes packaged
with powerful features like easy management of the site by the
client himself, CGI Bin Access, Data Backup and Restoring facility…….the
list goes on. The punch line is that its all for free!!
 The
market monitoring chaps saw the total number of domains booked
at a whopping 391! What used to be earlier our monthly figure,
has been achieved in one day.
The story does not end here the graphs are on the up swing,
simply refusing a downward trend.The Free Host offer has certainly
been taken up and spread like wild fire.

the Exodus |

The Pugmarks servers have moved into a new address. They are
now in Exodus! With a whole room to themselves, they are now
having a good time with neighbours like Yahoo and Merrill Lynch.
By the way, Exodus happens to be the largest data centre in
the world. That's called living it up!

and still Growing |

With a current headcount of 93 in the team, our HR department
has its work cut out recruiting more manpower. We're talking
