Haryana Tourism first ventured into the sphere of Cultural Tourism on a national level with launching of the Surajkund Crafts Mela, where rural ambience and the fine handlooms and handicrafts traditions of the country were highlighted.
Over a decade old today, Surajkund Crafts Mela has earned an identity of its own. On somewhat similar lines of promoting national cultural heritage, Haryana Tourism brings before its patrons the Nahar Singh Mahal Kartik Cultural Festival. The event celebrates fort architecture, martial arts, instrumental music and vocal recitals in classical music traditions of the country.

Haryana Tourism is a Haryana State Corporation working to provide tourist facilities. It operates 45 tourist complexes within the State. These complexes are built on national highways, district head quarter towns and places of tourist interest. Motels, hotel, guest houses, camper huts, dormitories, restaurants, bath complexes, lakes for boating, health clubs, filling stations, fast food centres, golf facilities, adventure camps, conference halls are provided for the travellers. The facilities are within reach of budget and affluent traveller.
