Hindi Movie Review.....Prem Aggan Prem Aggan
Starring: Fardeen Khan, Meghana Kothari
Director: Virender Raj Anand

The rich man poor man storyline has saved many a script writer from declaring creative bankruptcy. And Prem Aggan is what they came up with when they were grubbing around for small change.

Sooraj (Fardeen Khan) is a son of a colonel in the army, Veer Bahadur Singh (Raj Babbar). He falls for Sapna ( Meghana Kothari), the daughter of a software tycoon, JK (Anupam Kher).

The two strike sparks off one another, build up a blaze and generally have a real hit time reading each other's vibes rather than their text books. Until the tycoon catches them at such session, but one such session, but not before the audience has had its fill of basking in the glow of all that passion and fire. Anyway, to get on, the papa tells his henchmen to liquidate herself. At this the papa relents on the condition that the daughter marry his business partner in return for Romeo's life.

The action then moves to Australia, where the tycoon takes his daughter as he wants her to cool off. The daughter obligingly starts imbibing freely of liquid fire. Perhaps in the belief that fire fights fire.

But then Sooraj blazes a path to Australia, fuelled by stories of Laila Majnu, Shah Jahan Mumtaz et al.

Then follows a round of confrontations, carrying off of the damsel, gallant knight to the rescue etc., etc. until everything is brought under control.

Fardeen khan's acting is not bad for a newcomer, though the rest of the cast is merely passable. A lot of expectations were riding on this film, considering it was a launch pad for Feroz Khan's son - but the calculations seem to have gone awry somewhere.
