Haseena Maan Jaayegi
Starring: Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Karisma Kapoor, Pooja Batra
Director: David Dhawan

Another one of those assembly line productions from David Dhawan, ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’ is definitely ‘paisa Vasool’ for the masses. As for the rest go in only if you can stomach lyrics like "What is your mobile number, What is your style no...!'

The story, like any other David Dhawan flick, is not important. With gigs a minute and laughs galore the audience doesn't miss the story much! Its fairly simple though. Govinda and Sanjay Dutt are two brothers in love with two sisters. Govinda is wooing Karisma while Sanjay Dutt tries every trick to ‘patao’ Pooja Batra. Govinda, as the younger brother Monu is hilarious in the comic scenes . At times only his facial expressions are enough to raise laughs. Comedy is what Govinda knows best and this film is Govinda's show through & through. Sanjay Dutt as the elder brother, Sonu is looking very fit and trim. He has tried his hand at comedy for a change and has been fairly successful at it. A good change from all those action roles he has been doing of late.

Karisma is growing better with every release and here too she lights up the screen with her young and bubbly act. Pooja Batra is okay in whatever little she is asked to perform but she really must do something about her dialogue delivery.

Smita Thakeray (producer) has made a simple, entertaining film and this combination of David Dhawan and the Thakeray name should spell magic at the box office notwithstanding lyrics about mobile numbers!
