The biggest disappointment of this movie after its hackneyed storyline is the direction. One simply cant believe that a director of Prakash Jhas stature who gave us memorable fare like Damul & Mrityudand would follow it up with a dud like Dil Kya Kare. Even Kajols' histrionics fail to do anything to save the movie. Ajay Devgans performance does stand out. As for Mahima, though one can see a certain improvement over her previous performances she has nothing to do except rave and rant upon discovering her husbands infidelity. |
| The story if you still
want to know is like this. Ajay Devgan saves Kajol from a
gang of abductors and a one-night stand in a moving train
results in Kajol getting pregnant with Ajays child.
They disappear from each others life. Devgan
marries college sweetheart Mahima Chaudhary and later
lands up in a foster home to adopt a child where he
unknowingly picks up his real life daughter. The movies' fate is a foregone conclusion and one shudders to think of what more lies in store for us from the Ajay & Kajol camp. Wish this second debacle would make the Devgan's wiser and help them pick subjects with more care. |
