| When we
think of Agra, it's the Taj Mahal that comes to
mind - hauntingly, beautiful ode to love. And the
same can be said for the rest of this city
situated on the banks of the river Yamuna.
It's
indeed a monument to the glorious days of the
Mughals - their vanities, their luxuries, their
triumphs and their sorrows.
The
narrow alleyways meander to brooding havelis,
where many a secret mortars the walls.
Old-world
bazaars still hold the aura of a market place
teeming with the hustle and bustle of a people
for whom life was a celebration.
Agra
- a city of the past, living for the future.
