Self

I am a dead soul;
My conscience numb;
Bereft of feelings-nothing pricks it.
Eat, sleep, enjoy and some hard work
keeps me going.
Perhaps like God in His heaven,
and thus all is fine with the world.
I have learnt to live for myself.
I feel elated when delving into the exotic
Realm of exploitation and self-seeking world.
Pains me a lot when I become the
Victim - the victim of the world:
Of which I am the promoter.
The anguish, the misery, and the deathly pale
face of mankind,
Are the gory sights which fade into oblivion,
While I pass through
The myriad crowd,
In the bedecked chariot of my self.
